What does it mean to truly glorify God?
In John 17:1, Jesus prays that the Father would be glorified through His life even as He faces the cross. His focus wasn’t on self, but on obedience and surrender to God’s purpose. Today's devotion invites us to examine how our callings, desires, and prayers can point back to God’s glory, not our own. When we set ego aside, our lives become reflections of Christ.
Charles Spurgeon captured this heart posture beautifully: “Christ’s motive should be ours… Ask it only that you may glorify Him.”
May we learn to live, work, and pray with one aim, to glorify the Father in all things.
